ABOUT SPRING CREEK

 

I discovered the world of labradoodles in 2000. Until then, my involvement with animals included dog rescue, wild animal rescue, and the pursuit of veterinary medicine. My love of working with dogs and with all animals led to the start of Spring Creek Labradoodles. I began one of the first breeding programs for labradoodles in the U.S., and not only bred Australian Labradoodles, but developed American lines to contribute genetic diversity to the Australian lines. I have a well rounded experience with all generations, which is critical to making breeding decisions that benefit the breed.

The breeding focus I have is temperament, health, and conformation, and I strive to do everything with the highest integrity.  My main goal is to produce labradoodles suitable for a variety of therapy and service dog situations, which make for outstanding family pets as well!  My breeding program produces miniature, medium and standard size labradoodles and goldendoodles.  I work closely with other premium breeders of integrity who are committed to pursuing excellence as well as I am involved with the Australian Labradoodle Association of America.  The foundation lines at Spring Creek include Rutland Manor, Tegan Park lines and American lines carefully developed within my program.    

Spring Creek's success is due to the entire family being involved in the raising and socialization of our puppies. They are whelped and raised in a bedroom and family room, and they receive undivided love and attention.  Round the clock care is given to both mother and pups during the first two weeks of life.  With four children in our home, our puppies get much socialization, and as much love as you would hope for your newest family member.  Their start in life is the best guarantee for wonderful temperaments.  Proper socialization is extremely important and we provide every puppy a healthy physical and mental start in life as well as educate our buyers about continuing this socialization once puppies leave our home and enter their lives.

I am proud to be an accredited member of the following premium labradoodle organizations and am proud to be a silver paw breeder for excellence in health testing with the ALAA. I served on the ALAA board of directors for four years, and recently resigned in 2012.
